Living Wills are very different from Powers of Attorney for Health Care. Living wills do not appoint a person or persons to make health care decisions for you. Instead, they are expressions of your final wishes for care and treatment should you become terminally ill with no reasonable expectation of recovery.
In a Living Will, you may direct that your dying should not be prolonged by artificial and/or heroic measures or procedures. Carl will customize these various, possible measures and procedures for you.
Many people consider a Living Will to be a mere add-on to an Estate Plan. Carl, however, urges you to consider the Living Will to be an ultimate planning document. It is crucial to your end of life planning and comfort, especially once you have already completely and thoughtfully planned for your physical possessions.
