Missouri Supreme Court Rule 4-7.2(f) requires lawyers to explain the following:

"The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements."

This Rule is designed to protect you, the potential client.

Advertisements come in many forms, such as:  expensive television commercials; costly radio commercials and infomercials; group "seminars" or "workshops" which may include tempting lunches or dinners; pricey Facebook and other social media advertisements; and non-lawyer websites selling very inexpensive "DIY" estate planning documents online, which unfortunately do not provide true legal support and also disclaim any responsibility whatever for the validity of such form documents in the "fine print."

Please be very cautious about these big-budget, bulk advertisements. They do not necessarily support your high expectations for legal expertise and customized and caring legal representation.
